Carbon Drawdown
Silk Grass Farms has partnered with ClimeCo strategy consultants on two innovative carbon projects:
Forest Conservation Project (REDD+), CCB Certified
Focused on protecting tropical rainforests while generating verified carbon credits under the REDD+ framework, and pursuing Climate, Community, and Biodiversity (CCB) certification.
Biochar Production and Carbon Sequestration
Utilizing agricultural waste to produce biochar, which enhances soil health, supports regenerative farming practices, and sequesters carbon.
In conjunction with these projects, ClimeCo and Silk Grass Farms are co-hosting a series of events designed to engage stakeholders and share valuable insights on a range of topics, including Silk Grass Farm’s wildlife preserve and agribusiness, carbon markets, carbon credit issuance process, project details, and opportunities to actively engage with the project.

Forest Protection
To learn more about ClimeCo’s forest protection efforts and the REDD+ project, please visit Verra Registry – Project 5181 for details on the 27,500 acres of tropical rainforest we are working to protect, including biodiversity conservation efforts and the expected generation of carbon credits over the project's 30-year crediting period.
Biochar Protection
To learn more about ClimeCo’s biochar production project, please visit Verra Registry – Project 5035. This page details Silk Grass Farms’ biochar production system, which converts agricultural waste into valuable biochar. Capable of processing up to 24 tons of biomass daily, the system supports regenerative farming practices by improving soil health. The project has a 7-year crediting period.
